Swim Training

Tuesday and Friday mornings at 6.30am – 8am in Westport leisure centre.

Whether you are a beginner, out of shape, we have a place for you. You can contact Trevor on 087 698 8721 to find out more.  We’re currently mid way through a swim block, but will look at further options depending upon numbers and demand.  Click here to view current options.

 

Cycle Training

Our cycle sessions are Wednesday Spinning Classes 7-8pm and 8-9pm. Saturday and Sunday mornings meeting at the Town Clock at 9 o’clock.

There are usually three groups which do different pace, duration and distances so everyone is catered for.
As a member of Westport Triathlon Club you are also a member of the Covey Wheelers, but you must take out a cycling Ireland licence to insure yourself and them from any potential accidents. Click here to see what kind of licences are required.
We currently looking at ways to eliminate this extra licence requirement.

 

Run Training

Run faster

We train on a Tuesday and on a Thursday evening at 7.30 usually at the Athletics Track on Horkan’s Hill.
Coach: Gerry Kilroy
Gerry is an Athletics Ireland coach who will soon become a Triathlon Ireland approved coach. He has vast experience under his belt and is currently devising a new programme especially for us.  Our meet place for training is subject to change depending upon coach decision – make sure you are on our text alerts to get info on meeting point.
